Childcare Plus Project Shortlisted for Improving the Lives of Women Award

Women In Housing Awards Finalist

We are pleased to announce our Childcare Plus (CC+) Project in partnership with Account3, Somali Integration Team & Tower Hamlets Homes has been shortlisted for Improving the Lives of Women or Communities Award.

CC+ Project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, began in September 2015, with the aim to offer economically inactive and unemployed women an integrated programme of personal development, employability and vocational training. Since then we have engaged with over 500 women, supporting them to:

  • develop personally and professionally
  • build their confidence
  • gain accredited qualifications
  • reflect on current and future goals, offering guidance, making referral and signposting as necessary
  • get into volunteering
  • create or update their CV
  • obtain paid employment

Women in Housing Awards takes place 11 October 2018 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
